Valeria Scuteri
Born in the province of Reggio Calabria, Valeria Scuteri moved to Turin to pursue her passion for art.
In the Piedmontese capital, she carried out unprecedented research into the experimental possibilities of textiles, which led her to be recognised as one of the forerunners of fibre art in Italy. Her work brings together ancient traditions, from the manipulation of iron wires to crochet, re-elaborating them in the light of contemporaneity and with a personal approach that embraces existential reflections.
Her name appears in several national exhibitions, including the 21st Milan Triennale.
