After L!INCREDIBLE®, the first line of linen products for food packaging, the collaboration between Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale and Marevivo continues.
On April 23, 2023, a dive took place under the supervision of the Port Authority of Porto Santo Stefano and coordinated by Commander T.V. CP Luigi Buta, around Punta Bove, along the Argentario promontory, aimed at recovering fishing lines and lures that wrap around gorgonian branches and threaten life on the seabed.
The operation was carried out by Marevivo’s Diving Division with the Patronage of the Municipality of Monte Argentario and the support of the company SEI Toscana, which handled the disposal of the recovered materials, which are harmful to the environment, wildlife, and humans.
During the operation, which took place in the presence of Linificio CEO Pierluigi Fusco Girard and Marevivo’s institutional relations manager Raffaella Giugni, hundreds of meters of fishing lines collected in three large baskets, totalling about 10kg, were removed.
For Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale it is fundamental to be an active part of change and to promote collaboration between different realities: by joining forces, the objectives set can be reached sooner and more easily.
The projects carried out with Marevivo are just some of the initiatives taken by the company to improve its environmental and social impact, in line with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
