In the art workshop of Kaori Miyayama and Cristian Boffelli in Japan, a linen thread had the power to unite two different cultures.
The two artists, whose works were featured in the DE FILOexhibition, created the workshop ‘Fra Cielo e Terra’ (Between Heaven and Earth) for the primary schools of Ehime.
Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale donated two 15-meter long linen cloths for the project, which were painted by 242 children, then overlapped and connected by threads, creating a piece that allowed them to view the world from various perspectives.
Talent and creativity for a work that transcends cultural boundaries and inspires mutual understanding.
Linificio’s support for this project, in addiction to numerous educational activities, aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 of the UN 2030 Agenda, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
This goal, among many others, reflects Linificio’s corporate values.
