LINIFICIO

In the art workshop of Kaori Miyayama and Cristian Boffelli in Japan, a linen thread had the power to unite two different cultures.

The two artists, whose works were featured in the DE FILO exhibition, created the workshop ‘Fra Cielo e Terra’ (Between Heaven and Earth) for the primary schools of Ehime.

Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale donated two 15-meter long linen cloths for the project, which were painted by 242 children, then overlapped and connected by threads, creating a piece that allowed them to view the world from various perspectives.

Talent and creativity for a work that transcends cultural boundaries and inspires mutual understanding.
