Over a year after its creation and following the CULTURA+IMPRESA Award, the textile and contemporary art exhibition DE FILO, set up in 2023 at the former twisting mill of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale for its 150th anniversary, continues to make an impact.
It has been included by the Permanent Observatory of ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale in the ADI Design Index 2024 for the Exhibition Design category.
All criteria for its selection reflect ADI’s promise of quality to society: a commitment to honesty and practicality in daily production, design, distribution, communication, and education systems.
The commission, composed of 150 industry experts, selected projects and products from 14 different categories across Italy: DE FILO was recognized for its originality and functional and typological innovation, acknowledging not only quality but also environmental respect and public and social value in Linificio’s invested projects.
The exhibition is featured in the dedicated catalog and displayed at the ADI Design Museum in Milan from October 31 to November 17, 2024, and at Spazio WeGil in Rome from November 26 to 30, 2024. This showcase allows a broader audience to appreciate DE FILO ‘s narrative and the commitment Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale invested in its design and realization with the communication agency NT Next – evolving communication. Additionally, with this recognition, it becomes part of the selection for the Compasso d’Oro 2026.
A meeting point between industry, art, faith, culture, and nature as connections between worlds and people, real bridges between past and future, DE FILO is just like Linificio’s yarns: much more than a simple project.
