The artworks exhibited at Miniartextil are selected every year through a call for artists open to creators from all over the world. A jury then has the task of selecting the 54 most interesting ones: this number never changes.

The roughly 4,000 artists behind the minitextiles that currently make up the archive can be seen in exhibitions in various venues in Italy and Europe.

Several artists who have put their signature on the minitextiles have subsequently appeared at important exhibitions such as La Biennale di Venezia, Documenta, Manifesta and in renowned public and private collections.

The nine minitextiles displayed in DE FILO have been specially selected by the exhibition organisers in cooperation with the foundation ARTE&ARTE aps.
