Born in Bergamo, Cristian Boffelli exhibited his first artwork in 1994. Since then, his artistic career has taken him to some of the world’s major cities including New York, São Paulo and Tokyo, where he currently lives.

In his works, the crafts of engraving and lithography, considered the most direct means of expression as they do not allow for second thoughts, give life to humans and animals, altered in their scale and recognisability.

The figures represent the real and the inner world, both unknown and yet to be explored. Cristian’s major exhibitions include the Nakanojo Biennial, an event that he will attend for the fifth time in 2023.
