January 14, 1873 is the day it all began. It was the day the gears of the spinning machines of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale began to turn, unaware that they would continue to do so for a very long time.
It was the dawn of a new industrial era: the telephone was in its experimental phase, the cinematograph the dream of a handful of visionaries, and in the industries of the Kingdom of Italy we were beginning to see the first shoots of success from the seeds that had been planted during the second industrial revolution.
This is the context in which the world became aware of our first yarns, spun on industrial machines that were already innovative for the time. A distant age recounted in history books, but whose legacy is intricately woven into our products.
