In 2023 Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale not only celebrates 150 years after its foundation but it also reaches another goal:  since February 20^th it’s officially a certified B Corp^TM.

To obtain the certification Linificio had to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

B Lab the non-profit provider, asks for a constant commitment to improve, increasingly raising the bar of the required quality requirements: the journey has just begun.

The road was traced well before 2021, when, with a modification of its statute, the company became a Benefit Company and defined the objective it wants to pursue: the common benefit.

B, in fact, stands for benefit for all, it means that one must consider one’s business to create a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

Change is necessary and Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale wants to be an active part of it, always looking for new stimuli to improve its impact on employees, customers, suppliers, the environment and the community, with which it has a close bond since 1873. It is therefore committed to devoting the same attention reserved to economic results also to the creation of value for the biosphere and society.

The whole team of the Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale is proud not only of the goal achieved, but also of being part of the first linen and hemp spinning mill to have obtained the B Corp^TM certification, among the first companies in the textile segment, of which it represents an excellence absolute.

And it is thanks to the team’s commitment that all this has been possible, to the desire to be part of a change for a new, more equitable and inclusive economy model.
