Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale has confirmed its overriding commitment to social and green issues by amending its statute and becoming at the close of 2021 a Benefit Company. A choice made in the name of a corporate strategy that looks increasingly to the future.

Linificio therefore has officially unveiled its commitment to generate, through its business operations, value and well-being for the environment, the community, and the land, with the aim of participating in the challenge of the “regenerative change” necessary to preserve the future for generations to come.

The new statute regulates and describes in depth the company’s desire to:

• emphasize the ethical content of the manufacturing cycle, producing natural, ecological and organic yarns, the result of eco-compatible processing and marketing;
• collaborate with growers and weavers to create a sustainable supply chain model that respects people and the environment; 
• promote a circular economy model, with the use of technology that gives new life to secondary materials and production waste;
• nurture people, giving employees the opportunity to update their skills and ensuring safety at work;
• converse with the local community to promote the culture of linen and hemp, keeping alive its value from generation to generation;
• ensure transparency, sharing clearly and comprehensively information with the community on the traceability and sustainability of each yarn.
